Speeding ticket on 405NB. Advice?
Ok so I’m 17 years old and at 11:31PM I was driving home on the 405NB Freeway towards Los Angeles. A cop pulled me over and proceeded to tell me that he clocked me going 90mph when I was going 75mph at most and I know that. I was in the lane all the way to the left (not the carpool lane) and he was hiding behind the carpool lane. My theory is that he clocked a carpool lane driver going 90mph and had mistaken him for me. Whatever. He wrote the ticket and put that I was going 79 because he was being "nice" which is crap. Ok im not gonna elaborate on that. This would be my first ticket. I didn’t argue with him, I just explained how fast I knew I was going and I took the ticket. I need some advice on how to fight this. I know I did nothing wrong. Help please?

First off, be happy that the officer reduced your bail and the speeding infraction. You would need scientific proof that you were not speeding. Even if you admit in court that you were going 75, you will lose. The only way you could beat the ticket, is if the officer does not show up. If the officer shows up, your parents auto insurance will skyrocket because you might forfeit the right to go to traffic school, if you lose.

You can go in front of the judge and ask for a bail reduction. he might not because your are still not an adult in the state. Young drivers like your self tend to speed and think they own the road. Everyone blames someone else that they did not deserve this ticket and that person should have been cited that got away.

Pay the bail and complete traffic school.

Very hard to fight a ticket as the courts have listen to all sorts of excuses. Your best bet is if you decide not to fight it is take a traffic school class to have the point removed. You will have to have your parents call the courts permission before taking a class or they will reject your certificate.

Well, my best guy friend (bgf) and I recently starting talking and becoming friends again. We stopped talking because of a girl he was seeing, his parents forced them to break up for 6 months so he came back begging to become friends again. anyways, lately he asked me to hang out in his vehicle after work one night, he was acting strange by facing me alot, leaning into me, making a joke about getting in the backseat.

He’s called me 4 times in one day, just to randomly talk. He was talking about me and my favorite things, then we made plans to go see a movie with some friends but he ended up taking a rain check because he had to work.

Then this past weekend, after work he called me 6 times. (Because the 5th time I hung up on him because he said he had to go so I said bye and he called back a few minutes later because he thought he hung up on me and he said he didn’t want me to think he was a jerk.)
Since all of that we have been chatting on facebook IM every night up till late.

I don’t know if I am reading into his behavior, but I’m just curious if he has any sort of feelings towards me?

*He bumps into me really hard, so He sometimes runs into my breasts. *He always knows if I am upset, He tries to get me to talk and make me feel better. *He gets jealous about my boyfriends, and if a guy likes me. *He never likes to talk about his girlfriend. *He flirts quite a bit. *He does much more.. that I can’t list right now.

Since he and his girlfriend are on break from each other for 6 months, he has taken my advice about how sometimes what we want isn’t what God wants. And to keep his ears and eyes open to other options in life. When before when he was seeing his girlfriend, he would argue with me about saying stuff like that. Now, he never argues with me like we would when he was seeing her, and he talks to me more than he used to? Even though, he said when the 6 months are up there are going to get back together?

The Door in the Floor was based on part of John Irving’s novel A Widow for One Year. I had the following problem with both book and film.
There is a car crash. A boy in the front passenger side is killed. After the ambulance has removed the body, the mother thinks in her state of shock that her son will need the shoe that was left in the car. When she goes to get it, she finds his foot is still in the shoe. (Or maybe it was his leg– it’s been a few years.)
Fortunately, we weren’t treated to a visual– just a narrative. But this could never happen in life. Paramedics would never leave a body part in a car. I liked the book and film otherwise.

I met my girlfriend in high school 7 years ago (When she was 18 years old), around the second month that we were dating I was told by one of her family members that my girlfriend dated her cousin-husband..As soon as I had an option I ask my girlfriend about it and she started crying and told me that she made a huge mistake when she was 17 years old… she said to me that she got caught with a cell-phone that was given to her by her cousin-husband so that they could send each other messages, I asked Claudia if this guy had ever forced her to do something or if this guy had ever touch her… Claudia’s response at the time was NO. Due to her response, I though that this guy had only tried to get her to do things, but that nothing had happen between them, so I decided to move on and forget about it.

Problem is that now…After dating for 6 years and living together with Claudia for 5 years (even buying a house together) I asked her more information about what had happened in her past hoping that she would answer me the same way she did 7 years ago, but unfortunately, she said to me that one day when she got off early from high school and called her cousin’s husband to hang out…which led them to a hotel room where he had oral sex with her. Apparently, the guy tried to do more things with her, but she stopped him and put her clothes back on. I asked Claudia why she didn’t tell me truth 7 years ago, and she replied to me saying that she was afraid, and that at the time she didn’t trust me to tell me. I asked her why she didn’t seek for help to stop this guy, she said that she tried to so by talking to a preach whose solution was to ask her to move in with him, which hopefully didn’t happen. How am I supposed to believe that she is telling me the whole truth? Is she supposed to be blamed for her pass? I would like to move on! How can I get myself to chill out about it

My girlfriend (Claudia) was sent to the United States from Mexico by her parents with a temporary visa so that she could go to high-school and learn English, At first, she lived with her grandmother ,but due to Claudia’s loneliness and depression of being alone and not knowing anyone, she was removed from her grandmother’s house, and transferred to her aunt’s house who lived in Texas as well. While staying at her aunt’s house she met her cousin(Diana) who was married to a guy named Jason who was a policeman at the time. Long story short, Claudia would always go to Diana’s house to babysit Diana’s and Jason’s kids, but while being there she noticed that Diana’s husband would always try to seduce her, especially while Diana was either asleep or absent…Claudia would always reject Diana’s husband advances, but as time when by Claudia became friends with Jason and started giving in on some of this guy advances. At the time, Jason was 33 years old and Claudia 17.

As a result:
-Claudia’s mom came to Texas to tell the police about what had happen
-Jason was asked to resign to his policeman position (He wasn’t fired, and doesn’t have any criminal charges) so that means that he could get a job as a policeman anywhere else in the country, because he is not registered as a sex offender)
-Diana and Jason remain married together
-Claudia was removed from Texas and now lives somewhere else where she doesn’t have contact with any of this people.
-Claudia and myself used to get along very well.
-she states that she has moved on

I understand that I am NO ONE to judge others, but at the same time, I feel like my girlfriend has taken a huge drop in the way I see her and feel about her since the day she told me the whole truth.
1- How can I stop judging her? Should I even trust her more for being honest with me or should I just stay away from her?
2- From the man’s perspective…How would you handle this problem? Do you think its possible to move on?
3- Do you think that people have a tendency to commit the same mistake after doing it once?

I believe that God made Adam and Eve on day three and other people on day six is that so wrong?
Look I know God made the everything in six days and rested on the seventh. But I was thinking given the info in chp. 2 of Gen. that God made Adam and Eve and a the first of all the animals and plants all on day 3. That is why every animal created after wards was made "after its own kind" except people because they are created in the image of God all co equal Adam and Eve in the image of God chp. 3 Gen and the sixth day folk image of God Chp 1. Gen. They were not created in the Image of Adam and Eve but also in the image of God. I just thought that God would create his most prized creation first. To answer something:
Adam and Eve where one (first example of marriage) in fact it was only Adam that called Eve by that name God called them both Adam. So when Eve fell Adam was doomed to fall also and when Adam fell so we also where doomed to fall that is why we all fell under the curse. Sans God incarnate JC Adam was as good as gets as far as humans are concerned and they both fell.

To be honest, it was not one of my favorites. I thought the plot was very poor, the humor was predictable but Jackie and his amazing stunts made up for all that. I am a big Jackie Chan fan and I find him so likable anyway but his later movies have the same themes and humor like Shanghai Noon/ Knights, Rush Hours, The Tuxedo etc etc. He is a great role model for kids and I think it is a great movie for kids though.

I do NOT like when they pair Jackie with American directors, or people who don~t seem able to fully utilize his amazing comedic abilities.

Case in point – those horrendous Rush Hour movies. Why Jackie Chan has to degrade himself by being in a movie with that idiot Chris Tucker is beyond me.

What~s worse is that they turned X3 over to that idiot director from Rush Hour and he completely ruined it.

My fave Jackie movies include, but not limited to Police Story and Armor of God.
