Any dog training proffessionals in ottawa region that come to your home to help train/behavoir of your dog?
I have two minature schauzers and they need help! I mean help they aren’t bad dogs just they Jump alot! and i mean alot. And one is always nervous and bites sometimes. We heard things about Bark Busters that was good so we were thinking about them but we’d love to have Cesar Millan here but thats impossible but does anyone know any names of places or people who come to your home and help you with your dogs. The price is nt a major thing we just need help. SO please any names of proffesinals that come to your home or companies.
thank you in advance big points for the best answer!

You can do a lot of this yourself with time an patience. There are many sites on line that will give you very good information and pointers. Here is one such site: http://www.freedogtrainingarticles.com/P otty/dog-toilet-training.php Your local library will also have dog training books. That is how I trained my two rescue dogs. One of the main things is to make sure you are using an assertive voice not a baby voice. You do not have to be mean and yell but you do have to establish your dominance. Time and lots of patience is key. Be assertive and not whimpy. Remember this is not your "baby" it is your pet. A well trained dog is a happy dog. A well trained dog makes a happy owner.
I would avoid ANY "franchise" so-called training companies……especially Fart Busters. A 30 second conversation with one of them should be enough to show you they are completely Nuts.
The cops won’t leave him alone, however, and as they wait for their lawyers to post bail, he is talked into doing one more job with the other four. All goes tolerably well until the influence of the legendary, seemingly omnipotent “Keyser Soze” is felt. Although set in the modern day, it has much of the texture of the forties, plus suspense, intrigue (a fairly high body count), and lots of twists in the plot.

Techno/Electronica/Dance song heard at San Jose Sharks game (HP Pavilion)…?
I know this is a ridiculous long shot, but I was wondering if anyone can help me track down a song being played the Shark Tank lately. It is a techno song, no words, and I last heard it during the Sharks/Blackhawks game played tonight. They have played it in the past this season, if I remember tonight it was played during a timeout. They usually only play a small part of the song as I only here it during some brief stops in plays.

If I think of any more info I’ll add, song has kind of a "wave" type feel (down, down up down, up). Song is not a usual suspect (not Sandstorm, or Zombie Nation). Anyway, ridiculous, I know, but why not take a shot in the dark. It’s drivin me nuts.

Thanks!
Yea, checked DJ Mangoo, DJ Mango Man, DJ Magoon, nuthin! I’m almost tempted to email the arena to see if they can figure it out. Not sure they would bother responding to something like that.

I know exactly what you are talking about…they played it at the world juniors when canada scored and before the puck dropped. My buddy told me it was DJ Mangoo but i tried to find it and had no luck…this is beggining to really piss me off.

Having ridden the bench for years because of a string of bad luck stories and perhaps insufficient character, Willie Beaman (Jamie Foxx) seizes what may be his last chance, and lights up the field with a raw display of athletic prowess. His stunning performance over several games is so outstanding and fresh it seems to augur a new era in the history of this Miami franchise, and forces aging coach Tony D’Amato (Al Pacino) to reevaluate his time-tested values and strategies and begin to confront the fact that the game, as well as post-modern life may be passing him by. Adding to the pressure on D’Amato to win at any cost is the aggressive young President/Co-owner of the team, Christina Pagniacci (Cameron Diaz), now coming into her own after her father’s death. Christina’s driving desire to prove herself in a male dominated world is intensified by her focus on the marketing and business of football, in which all coaches and players are merely properties.

Harshly it comes raining down on me
Flooding me with cold, harsh reality
I need to hear the truth from you
After all these hoops I’ve been jumping through
darn you dont say WHERE in West hollywood you want to go
one way you could do it take the 233 bus to Ventura and Van nuys
then board the 150 or 240 or 750 bus take this bus to Laurel canyon
then transfer to metro 218 which services portions of west hollywood
(Crescent heights and sunset and Santa monica and fairfax
cost is $1.25 for each bus there are no transfers
another option is take the 761 bus into Westwood (weyburn and westwood
then transfer to metro #2 or 305 which operates into Westwood on Sunset or
you can take 761 to Lindbrook and westwood transfer to
Big blue line 1,8, 12 or Culver city #6 take any of those buses
Io Santa Monica and westwood then transfer again to metro 704 or
It is in this awkward and extremely one sided affair that the unfortunate Gilbert (Johnny Depp) has to constantly, while working for the town’s slowly dying Convenience Store, take care of his younger brother, played to such depth and conviction by a very young Leonardo DiCaprio. Gilbert’s life, his future, is thwarted he know this, but it is in this Guardian Angel that his love and bond for Arnie cannot, and will not, be let go. That is until the free spirit of Becky (Juliette Lewis) arrives in town, and with her grandmother are stranded for the week while waiting for parts for their vehicle. This realisation unties new feelings, new thoughts and new hope for the put upon Gibert, something new is eating Gilbert Grape.

Have you ever seen when the wind blows?
I saw it the other day and it is so chilling, it just leaves an empty pit in your stomach. Yet, somehow it’s an amazing film. It’s about an elderly english couple who are dealing with preparing for a nuclear bomb and the aftermath too, what makes it so much more amazing yet sad is that it’s done in cartoon, giving it an even more innocent cover.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090315/

If you do want to watch it, it’s on youtube in 8 parts.
I really don’t know how some young children could manage watching it during the 80’s when nuclear holocaust was still such a threatening issue

I have the book, and it’s deeply disturbing. My son read through it for school and he found it upsetting but educational.
See if you can get another book by Raymond Briggs (yes, he of The Snowman fame) called Ethel & Ernest, it’s a book about his parents and it’s set out in a storyboard style.Again, it’s quite dark, especially when it deals with the death of his mother.I’m a huge Raymond Briggs fan and even though my kids are grown up I still buy any books by him for myself.

Yes it is a very chilling film . I think it touched a nerve particularly with people of my age who had lived through the cold war and the Cuban missile crisis . The actor John Mills was the voice of the man , not sure about the lady . All in all a classic of its kind .
shadow | Feb 02, 2010

I’m old so yes I remember it coming out at the height of the nuclear scare mongering and frankly it’s one of the films I will never watch again

See also
watership down
Plague dogs…

Quite liked the David Bowie song though

We're getting ready to make an offer on some land; how much should we raise our offer?
The land in question is 15 acres, and the asking price is $55,000. It’s been on the market for 7 months, and in order to build our house we would need to install our own utilities as well as build a foundation. The acreage is next to a major highway, is only accessible via a gravel road, and has a failing business in front of it, all decreasing it’s value. My fiance and I are planning on making an initial offer of $30,000, and are willing to cap out at $45,000. We know he’s going to reject our first offer unless he’s desperate, but how much should we raise our offer by? Should we only go up by a couple thousand, or ten thousand?

As long as you realize that by lowballing your first offer you may close off all negotiations, I would suggest waiting to see what counter-offer is made – if he comes down to $45K, you may be able to get it for $40K…raisin git a few thousand will show you are not serious.
